2011 Varsity Photos

Many fabulous items were auctioned off that

night benefitting the baseball program.

Our first "Dinner on the Diamond" fundraiser was very

successful. The players actually served the guests!

2010 JV Locker Room Improvements

Here are several "before" photos of the JV "room". (No lockers actually existed!)

After the lockers were constructed off-site, several parents helped transport them to the locker room.

Up to sixteen players can now enjoy their updated locker room, complete with lockers, new carpet and paint.

2010-11 Field Improvements

Chuck Carson is showing off his artistic ability and sense of humor while applying a fresh coat

of paint to the dugout.

Much-needed paving around the visitor stands was completed recently.

The goal is to remove all gravel around the field and bullpen areas.

Parent volunteers are needed throughout the year to help make the

baseball program and facility the best they can be.

2010 Fundraising Project

September was a busy month for several parents at the baseball field. Sod was laid, bushes were planted, mulch was put down to cover the once-gravelled areas, and a fence was installed along the walkway. There's always more to do. Please contact Chuck Carson if you can help with labor or expenses.

FIELD IMPROVEMENTS

We are very excited about all the improvements that are being made or have been made to the

baseball field, visitor dugout,

concession stand, and landscaping of the common areas.

These projects are ongoing so if you can devote time and/or money to help accomplish our goals,

The end of January provided good enough weather for a workday at the field.

Many parents and players worked hard to install the warning track behind home plate and in front of the dugouts.

We're almost ready to play ball! (Click on photos to enlarge.)

One of the biggest improvements made in the off-season was enlarging the concession stand and moving the visitor dugout back off the field for safety reasons. (Click on photos to enlarge.)

February, 2011 Babysitting Fundraiser

On Saturday, February 12, the JHS Baseball players babysat more than 30 kids at the Jefferson Academy. Not only did this allow parents a chance to enjoy the night out alone, but money was raised for the Baseball Program! Pizza was served. Games were played. But who had more fun, the players or the kids?

WOW! The baseball field is beautiful! The sponsor signs have been removed from the outfield fence but will re-appear in a different format soon.

The coaches, parents, and players have done a fabulous job of making our baseball field look professionally maintained.

We should be proud to host any visiting team.

Special thanks to the Booster Club for the new sign "background" to hold all of our Dragon Baseball sponsor signs.

It is being installed behind the Visitor's Dugout for greater visibility.
